In recent years, we have seen an increase in all-white snus (pouches) for its modern characteristics such as a tobacco-free alternative. Together with Habit Factory, we embarked on a journey to develop a name that would embrace their vision and values. The product had to bring joy and fit into different types of people’s lifestyle. With awareness and a healthier mindset, this fresh snus was aimed at both men and women.
As always, all assignments look different, especially when there may be differences between B2G, B2B or B2C. When working with snus, as in this case, there was a desire early in the project to have very short names as candidates. And it’s understandable – it’s a consumer product that should be easy to remember and roll of the tongue. After a few turns, the Swedish word KLINT became one of the hotter candidates. Synonyms for klint are mountain top or crest; a clever way to state the intentions of the product – the obvious choice in your pocket.
