In a close cooperation with Hansa Medical AB, we developed the trademark name ‘Idefirix’, for an orphan drug (kidney transplantation). The prefix ’Ide’ is short for the generic name : IdeS (Immunoglobulin G-degrading enzyme of Streptococcus pyogenes). The name is both easy to remember and use for transplant surgeons, nephrologists, and pharmacists to remember in their practice.
We had a very good naming process where the client’s project group was coherent, responsive, and target oriented.
