New Name: Kronaby

Since 2017, there is a new elegant connected watch out in stores all over Sweden and Europe. The Kronaby watch (part of Anima) comes in four models and 24 variants: APEX, SEKEL, NORD and CARAT, all with a combination of beauty and advanced technology, and a perfectly fitting new name Kronaby.

The Anima-team knew that they wanted a name that could reflect the tagline “beautifully smart”. Another one of Anima’s requests was a name that would allude to the Scandinavian heritage. Undoubtedly, the final choice Kronaby is as Scandinavian as it gets; two typical place name suffixes combined into one unit, and as a bonus, the stem “kron” associates with the Greek archaic word for time: “chronos”.
